Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces have come a long way and are more comfortable today than ever before. They're made of high-grade stainless steel and utilize brackets and wires to straighten teeth. With metal braces, you have the option of adding brightly colored elastics or using silver elastics if you want something subtle.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are often referred to as "clear" braces and provide a different aesthetic than their metal counterpart. The transparent brackets allow colors to really pop for patients who prefer a brighter, bolder look! Ceramic brackets are equally effective as metal brackets and are a matter of personal preference for our patients.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

Invisalign treatment utilizes a series of clear, removable,  trays to straighten your teeth and align your bite. Contrary to popular belief, Invisalign can be used for both simple and complex cases and Dr. Dunn personally designs each tray for our patients. Because the trays are removable, it's easy to brush, floss, and eat while in treatment with Invisalign.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Braces

In most cases, your treatment will be successful with either option. However, there are certain cases where Dr. Dunn prefers one treatment method over the other for that patient. At your initial consultation, Dr. Dunn will let you know if there are reasons that he would recommend one treatment type over the other.

The short answer is yes! Not every child needs early treatment, but there are cases where early treatment can prevent bigger problems down the road. We recommend staring with a free consult at age 7.

Any time that you’re moving teeth, whether with aligners or braces, you can expect some discomfort and soreness in your teeth. When you initially get braces, you should expect to be sore for 3-5 days as your teeth begin to move and you adjust to the brackets and wires.

Treatment length depends on the complexity of your case and how much movement needs to happen. At your free consultation, Dr. Dunn will let you know how long he thinks it will take to complete your treatment.

We offer both clear and metal braces and over 20 color options for the colorful ties.
