Traditional Metal Braces
Modern metal braces are known to be very effective, and they are now more sturdy and comfortable than previous designs. During this process, we use high-grade stainless steel brackets and wires to straighten your teeth. You may even choose colorful elastics to personalize your treatment and your look.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces use transparent brackets to provide a subtle look during treatment, while offering the same clinical excellence and proven results as metal braces. We often recommend this option for patients who prefer a subtle aesthetic along with the reliability of traditional metal braces.
Invisalign Clear Aligners
If braces aren’t for you, these clear aligners offer a more discreet option for straightening your smile. This treatment involves moving teeth using a series of clear aligners. Because you can remove the aligners, you can easily maintain your regular routine for eating, brushing, and flossing. We achieve successful outcomes with both treatment methods. However, certain factors may lead Dr. Dunn to recommend one over the other to ensure the best result for your smile. We will discuss these options with you during your first visit, so you feel at ease and ready for what’s ahead.
At what age should my child see an orthodontist?
We follow the professional recommendation for a first evaluation at age 7. While not every child requires early treatment, this initial check allows us to monitor jaw growth. Our process helps prevent more complex issues as your child grows.
Do braces cause discomfort?
You may feel a bit of pressure for three to five days after we place your braces, but this sensation just indicates that your teeth are beginning to move into their correct positions. We’ll help ensure your journey is as comfortable as possible through each precise adjustment.
How long is the orthodontic process?

What braces options are available for teens?
